Need the address to find the event location?

Blackfoot Airport RV lot

1300 E Airport Rd, Blackfoot, ID 83221

We will likely be doing 3 run groups and will have some food trucks on site as well that we encourage you to patronize so that they will want to come back.

But we have a couple of exciting announcements to share for this event!

The 2026 Common Car Challenge

This is something I personally have often heard of, but never seen in action, well, this year we are doing it!

The first thing to keep in mind is that we are experimenting with this, so it may change throughout the season, but the Common Car Committee is in charge of overseeing this. Any feedback you have should be directed to myself, Carl Tyger, Kameron Clements or Lex Tyger.

Here are the key points of how we will begin.

Sign up during morning check in - no mid-day entries

capped at 14 drivers - first come first served

$10 cash for 2 runs

we can take Square electronic payment as well, but it will be $12 (Square charges fees)

Runs are taken back to back during your normal driving heat

Can be morning or afternoon, but once you get in the car you don't get out until your two runs are done. Take one and get right back in line for your seceond.

Please be considerate and don't wait until the end of the heat or end of the day to finally take your runs. This is to try and spread out the abuse of the car throughout the day and not have moments where we are just waiting for driver swaps, cool down, etc.

standard re-run rules apply

These runs do not count against your regular class runs

Run times will be recorded on the white board

Fastest run of the day wins half the pot

The other half goes to maintaining the car

If the car breaks down the driver who did not run will be refunded and the remaining pot will split to the top recorded time

The Common Car will have a dedicated grid space at the front of the grid

The car is a B.E.A.Utiful 1998 Toyota Corolla LE with a 5 speed manual and some mint seat covers!

2026 Shirts and Hats

We have new shirts and hats this year that are very special! Commemorating and honoring our good friend John Annis - XB 3, who we tragically lost last fall. These will be available for purchase at every event and beginning with the Memorial Day Rigby Weekend you can purchase during the registration process.

Shirts are $20 and hats are $30

Other important information for the EIR auto-x 2026 season:

EIR SCCA is only accepting online registrations at MototsportReg.com for the auto-x events. Event registration will open a few weeks prior to each auto-x event. There is no registration at the event site.

A valid drivers license or learners permit is required to drive in SCCA auto-x events.

All minors (age 12 to 17.999) are required to have an SCCA Minor Release form completed by parents or guardians. No minors under 12 allowed in the hot zones where vehicles are moving.

Novice class is available for those that have attended less than 3 auto-x weekends. Class will be set at NOVICE (NOV) to allow you to learn all about SCCA autocross without any pressure of competition from more experienced drivers. We want you to have fun and enjoy your initial auto-x event!

We have loaner helmets for you to use if you don't have an acceptable helmet of your own yet. There is a limited quantity of loaner helmets avaialable; Med (2), L (3), XL (2), XXL (1), and they will be shared so each run group has them available for use.

If you have it, please bring your own helmet with the proper SNELL or FIA or SFI certification. There is a link below for the online SCCA 2026 acceptable helmet certifications.

Self Tech sheets will be handed out at each event to ensure your car meets SCCA auto-x event safety requirements. To save time at the auto-x event, you can download a self tech sheet ...HERE..., fill it out and bring it to the auto-x event with you.

See you all soon!!

Rules..... Rules..... Rules.....

Where can you find the SCCA Solo (auto-x) rulebook ?    On the SCCA national office web site, of course! For the auto-x rulebook, go to ...SCCA... and download a free copy of the 2026 Solo rulebook. If you want to obtain a printed copy of the 2026 SCCA Solo rulebook, you can buy a copy from Amazon at ...SCCA Auto-x Rules...

New year...... new helmet rules.....  EIR SCCA auto-x events must be compliant the SCCA National organization rules and regulations regarding event safety, vehicle safety, and driver safety.  Please check your helmet certification sticker and make sure its legal for use before you plan to use it at an auto-x event.  This applies to helmets used by both drivers and passengers.  The helmet certifications acceptable for use in SCCA auto-x events in 2026 are shown .....here.....
