Auto-x !      April 27 - 28, 2024 at the Pine Ridge Mall parking lot.   

 The first scheduled auto-x event for the EIR SCCA 2024 season is planned to be a two day weekend event.  Join us for a day or two, as your schedule allows. We now have access to a smaller portion of the mall parking lot than in previous years, but it's great to be able to have events in the Pocatello area again! We are ecstatic to have the Pine Ridge mall back on the calendar, however, the lot available for us to use is a smaller section than we previously used a coupoe years ago. Because of this we have some limitations in place for at least the Saturday auto-x event: We will be capping the event entry to 50 drivers.

We need to make sure the smaller lot is 100% safe and runs smoothly. Limiting driver count will ensure we can get the cars into the grid space available, get a better reading and feel for the new lot size, and the pavement surface we have to work with.

We’ve got some important information for you to read as well for the first EIR auto-x event of the 2024 season:

1. As of right now, we are only accepting online registrations. Come the day before the event, if we do not have 50 drivers, we will accept walk-up registration first come, first serve until the limit of 50 drivers is reached. 

2. If the Saturday auto-x event goes well, and we feel we have enough room to not need a cap on the number of drivers, we will post ASAP that anyone can walk-up for Sunday and register to drive for the Sunday event!

3. There is still parking across the street for trucks, trailers and spectator parking, as we have used in previous years. 

4. Are you a SCCA member? Because the schedule this year has a lot more events than last year, you’d be silly not to join now! It’ll pay for itself, plus some this year!

New year...... new helmet rules.....  EIR SCCA auto-x events must be compliant the SCCA National organization rules and regulations regarding event safety, vehicle safety, and driver safety.  Please check your helmet certification sticker and make sure its legal for use before you plan to use it at an auto-x event.  This applies to helmets used by both drivers and passengers.  The helmet certifications acceptable for use in SCCA auto-x events in 2024 are shown .....here.....
